Rashmika Mandanna, the nation’s favourite actress, maybe enmeshing herself in controversy to the point where it hinders the release of her future movies Pushpa 2 with Allu Arjun and Varisu with Vijay in her State of Karnataka. There are many rumours that the Pushpa heroine’s films will be permanently banned in the State due to the Kannada cinema industry’s plans to take action against her.
After making her Bollywood debut, the Goodbye actress has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The actress, who had her film debut with Kiraak Party, has been giving promotional interviews to the Hindi and English media. In one of these interviews, she shared her journey to becoming an actress without mentioning the production company that launched her. She reportedly chose not to mention the name of Paramvah Studios, which was co-founded by her ex-fiance, Rakshit Shetty. This infuriated his supporters and the Kannada internet community, and many dubbed her ungrateful and said she showed no respect for the film industry that helped launch her career.
The Kannada listeners took offence when she said she couldn’t speak Telugu and Kannada quickly. Not only that, but Rashmika, the Geeta Govindam actor, reportedly denied having the time to watch Kantara, directed by Rishab Shetty, when asked if she had watched it. For those unfamiliar with Sandalwood, Rishab Shetty is Rakshit Shetty’s close friend and the director of Kiraak Party.
Although we can’t verify the integrity of the information he has received, a film journalist’s tweet that went popular on social media suggests that Rashmika may be banned due to the disrespect she has shown to Kannada films and the business.
