PAMPA GHOSH, an aspiring model was recently interviewed by a press syndicate at Mumbai. Pampa mentioned in her introduction “I don’t want to be a supermodel, I want to be a role model”.
Originally hailing from the city of joy – Kolkata, India, Pampa has stepped into the modelling, acting and influencing industry since last 5 years. Pampa has been into multilingual short films, TVCs, screen & print shoots, product endorsements and also into many character roles in Tollywood and Bollywood industries. The interview went as;

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

‘Well.. I am a self-starter with strong interpersonal & PR skills. I work diligently both as an individual contributor as well as along with a team of my fellow artists and technicians’.

What is your greatest strength as a professional?

‘I think it is that I am reliable, organized, punctual, confident, positive and persistent. I am strong enough to handle criticism and rejections, which happens very often in modelling industry’.

What are your career goals over the next five years?

To expand my screen presence at least 20 times that of now and reach mid segment in Bollywood industry.

Have you ever worked as a runway model?

Yes. In Kolkata and Mumbai for couple of fashion brands but not as their ambassador.

What do you feel are right captures so far still images are concerned?
Pampa Ghosh
There are many important components to creating a stunning photograph. Some of the most important are the ability to capture the right light use, the right composition of your body, and the right moment, all by the artist in front of the camera. I prefer multiple shots for a single frame.

What are the must have for a model in motion photography?
Pampa Ghosh
There are certain must have principles in motion photography which are to be followed & ensured by an artist —the balance, rhythm, pattern, emphasis, contrast, unity, and movement. A right mix of all these principles shall give you a hit.

Do you have any education or training that informs your modeling practice?

I believe that the artistry should come from the within. However, I have gone through many workshops and sessions on visual arts and modelling.

Modeling can be an exciting career with many benefits, including travel opportunities, flexible hours and access to the latest fashion trends. I also had a knack and inclination to the screen presence and to portrait myself to the silver screen, big or small. Importantly, I live my decision and I am my own influencer
