SS Rajamouli said he was ‘truly overwhelmed’ as he shared a new video of Tesla’s ‘stunning and incredible’ light show, a tribute to RRR song Naatu Naatu.
A day after Tesla cars’ light show in a parking lot to the beats of Naatu Naatu wowed fans, filmmaker SS Rajamouli shared a new video of the ‘incredible and ingenious’ light show. Naatu Naatu from his film RRR recently won an Oscar, and was paid a tribute via a ‘stunning show’ in New Jersey, US. Rajamouli said he was ‘truly overwhelmed’ as he shared the video, and thanked the company and others behind the light show.
Sharing the video, the filmmaker tweeted on Tuesday, “Truly overwhelmed by this tribute to Naatu Naatu from New Jersey! Thank you @vkkoppu garu (brother), NASAA, @peoplemediafcy and everyone associated with this incredible and ingenious @Tesla Light Show…:) It was a stunning show @elonmusk.”
The video opened with an aerial view of Tesla cars in a parking lot. Next, the cars parked in the shape of RRR were seen during day time as people gathered around them. The clip then showed the light show with the cars’ headlights blinking to the beats of beats of Naatu Naatu.
On Monday, RRR’s official Twitter handle had shared a video of the Tesla light show paying a tribute to the Oscar-winning RRR song Naatu Naatu. The video had grabbed the attention of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who reacted to the tweet, and dropped two heart emojis. RRR’s Twitter handle had tweeted along with the Tesla cars’ Naatu Naatu light show video, “@Teslalightshows light sync with the beats of Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu in New Jersey (heart eyes emojis). Thanks for all the love.”
Earlier this month, Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. The award was given to lyricist Chandrabose and music composer MM Keeravaani. SS Rajamouli as well as RRR’s lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR had attended the star-studded ceremony, which was held on March 12 (March 13 in India), along with their family. The song was also performed on stage at the Oscars, and the performance was introduced by Deepika Padukone. After Naatu Naatu’s historic win at the Oscars, the RRR team was given a warm welcome in India.
